Sydnie Christmas shows off her funny side in the intro video as Cruella De Vil in the new 101 Dalmatians musical

Fresh off her show-stopping UK solo tour and a string of international milestones, Britain’s Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas is set to sink her teeth into one of the most iconic villains of all time.

In a playful and captivating new teaser, Christmas gave fans a first glimpse of her take on Cruella De Vil—complete with signature sass and comic flair—as she gears up to lead 101 Dalmatians The Musical at London’s Eventim Apollo this summer.

The humorous intro video, which quickly delighted musical theatre fans across social media, hints at a performance that promises both wicked charisma and powerhouse vocals. It’s a tantalizing preview of what’s to come during the production’s strictly limited six-week run, from 18 July to 30 August 2025.

Christmas, who charmed the nation with her powerhouse performances on BGT and topped iTunes charts in both the UK and US with her debut album My Way, brings a magnetic presence to the role.

Since her television win, she has performed at the Royal Variety Performance for King Charles III, made a sold-out New York debut at Sony Hall, and shared the stage with Michael Bublé, Andrea Bocelli, and Jennifer Hudson at David Foster’s 75th birthday celebration at the Hollywood Bowl.

“I can’t wait to sink my teeth into this iconic character,” Christmas said in an official statement. “There’s a bit of me that I see in Cruella, so I’m excited to see her evolve…”

Based on Dodie Smith’s beloved novel, 101 Dalmatians The Musical features music and lyrics by Douglas Hodge, a book by Johnny McKnight, and a stage adaptation by Zinnie Harris. Directed by Bill Buckhurst, the creative team includes set designer David Woodhead, costume designer Sarah Mercadé, choreographer Lucy Hind, and musical supervisor Alfonso Casado Trigo.
