The “Singing Janitor” captured people’s hearts with his stunning first audition. He took the stage with his shy demeanor and impressed everyone with his rendition of “Don’t Stop Believin’,” which earned him the Golden Buzzer.
After his first performance, Simon Cowell said, “I think America is gonna love you,” and oh boy, was Simon right!

Singing Janitor Richard Goodall’s America’s Got Talent Semi-Final Performance
Goodall gave it his all during his semi-final performance. The janitor brought the house down with a rendition of “Eye of the Tiger.”
The judges were highly impressed with his performance, but the audience was even more impressed and cheered non-stop for minutes. This man has truly captured the hearts of Americans. Following his performance, judge Heidi Klum stood in ovation and showered Goodall with praises, saying:
Simon giggled at Heidi’s enthusiasm but went on to say that the song was the last thing that he expected the singing janitor to choose. However, it does not matter because he is so loved, which is evident by the fact that you could just barely make out what Simon was saying over the roaring of the crowd.
When Goodall was asked how it felt to sing such an iconic song on the AGT stage he said,“I am so blessed and I am ready and willing to fight for the finals!”
