Officer Tanya Keplinger’s stuns the stadium with her National Anthem performance

When Surprise Police Department Officer Tanya Keplinger performed the national anthem before a Major League Baseball game on March 15, 2016, the Surprise Stadium audience in Surprise, Arizona, was treated to an outstanding performance.

Officer Keplinger, who had planned to just watch the game, ended up taking the mic when the scheduled vocalist got sick.

Her moving performance of the national anthem moved the crowd to its core, and they erupted in exuberant cheers and ovation. Her extraordinary talent and poise under fire were on full display during the spontaneous performance, elevating the occasion to a whole new level of magic for everyone who were there.
