#VIDEO| Richard Goodall Brings Down the House with ‘Footloose’—Kids Light Up the School with Dance!

Thirty years ago, the film “Footloose” became one of the biggest flicks of the year, and no one saw it coming — including Kenny Loggins.

The rock/pop songsmith had hit Hollywood gold with “I’m Alright” on the soundtrack to 1980’s “Caddyshack,” and his participation in “Footloose” was key to getting the film made. For its title track, Loggins and co-writer Dean Pitchford took a bit of inspiration from a hit Paul Simon had a decade ago, as Loggins “confessed” to Bart Herbison of Nashville Songwriters Association International.

Richard Goodall performs Kenny Loggins’s “Footloose” for the kids at the school’s end of the year party.

As we know, Richard Goodall now works as a janitor at West Vigo Middle School, amounting to 23 years in the position.

Goodall’s students are the ones who convinced him to audition.

Goodall revealed that it was the students he works with that encouraged him to hop on the plane to audition and share his talents with the world once and for all.

“The kids would hear me sing, and they told me that I’ve got talent ,” Goodall shared. “That’s why I’m here.”

Goodall has been singing for much of his life.

Goodall said what he loves most about singing is that it gives something to others.
