The season 19 auditions concluded with Nick Manning, of Queensland, Australia, attempting to beat the Guinness Book of World Records titleholder for ‘most underpants pulled on in 30 seconds’.
An official adjudicator named Michael from Guinness World Records was on hand, but Nick failed to break the record of 23.
‘Sorry, Nick, you did not beat the world record. But we have a chance to go for another world record right now. Correct?,’ said show host Terry Crews, 55.
‘Correct,’ Nick said as she revealed they could all break the record for most people gathered in one place wearing underwear on their heads.
Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara joined the America’s Got Talent audience in setting a world record on Tuesday’s episode of the NBC show
Terry informed the audience that underwear was underneath each seat and encouraged everyone to put it on their head to break the record.
Howie, Heidi and Sofia took part in the attempt, but Simon hesitated as a chant rose from the audience of people saying, ‘Simon, wear it!’
