Riley Green and Ella Langley’s New Hit Sounds Like Blue’s Clues Theme and Fans Can’t Unhear It

Fans Are Hilariously Comparing The Tune Of Riley Green And Ella Langley’s ‘You Look Like You Love Me’ To ‘Blue’s Clues’

Ella Langley and Riley Green Thought They Might Cause 'Some Marriages, Maybe Some Divorces' with Duet

Sometimes songs do resemble each other. The similarity is usually totally inadvertent. Some listeners think that the Riley Green and Ella Langley song, “You Look Like You Love Me” sounds like the theme song from Blue’s Clues, per Whiskey Riff. Per the outlet, “A post on Reddit pointed out that the intro to the song sounds eerily similar to a song that anybody growing up in the ’90s probably recognizes: The theme song to the hit children’s show Blue’s Clues.

If there is indeed a sonic resemblance between the two tunes, it’s hugely likely that it is inadvertent. What is very clear, however, is that Green and Langley hit very big with “You Look Like You Love Me.”

As is the case with many songs, including some gigantic ones, it came about casually during a conversation. Green and Langley wrote it, along with Aaron Raitiere. According to the outlet, Langley recalled innocently chatting one day about her own romantic life with her fellow songwriter.

Ella Langley Remembers How The Song Came To Be

“‘Honestly, I’m at the point where if they look like they love me, I gotta get out of there. It’s just too much for me right now.’ And we giggled at that, and then as songwriters, when you hear something like ‘you look like you love me,’ we’re like, ‘Well there’s a title, You Look Like You Love Me.’” And that way, a hit was born.

Langley added, “And we just wrote the title down… We wrote the song in 2022, so six months later, we had an afternoon write, he loves to talk about how I brought in this bowl of spaghetti. I made my lunch, brought it in… and we say this is like the luckiest bowl of spaghetti. I think we might get a tattoo with a tiny piece of spaghetti on it.”

Langley Was Initially Skeptical That The Song Would Be A Hit

This isn’t your typical song. For one thing, it’s more spoken than sung. But as we – and Langley- now know for sure, ‘You Look Like You Love Me” has done exceedingly well. A bona fide toe-tapper, the tune took home Musical Event of the Year honors at the 58th CMA Awards.
