Tim McGraw and Faith Hill stood together on the sacred stage of the Ryman Auditorium, their voices intertwining like a love story set to music. As they covered We’ve Got Tonight during the announcement of their Soul2Soul Tour 2017, time seemed to stand still.

On October 4, 2016, country music’s renowned duo, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, delivered a memorable performance at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium. This surprise concert was orchestrated under the pseudonym “Sam & Audrey,” a nod to their given names, Samuel Timothy McGraw and Audrey Faith Perry. The event not only celebrated their musical partnership but also served as the platform to announce their upcoming Soul2Soul World Tour 2017.

The evening commenced with a heartfelt rendition of their 1997 hit, “It’s Your Love,” setting an intimate tone for the night. Among the standout moments was their soulful cover of Bob Seger’s classic, “We’ve Got Tonight.” Their harmonious vocals breathed new life into the song, captivating the audience and showcasing their enduring chemistry both on and off the stage.

Following the performance, Faith Hill addressed the enthusiastic crowd, stating, “We are going back on the road—on tour. We are going to go from side to side, South to North, all the way around the globe.” Tim McGraw added, “2017 we are going back on the road. We’re going to do a Soul2Soul Tour. We’ve been looking forward to this for a long, long time.” The announcement was met with overwhelming excitement, as it marked their first joint tour in a decade.

The Soul2Soul World Tour 2017 was slated to kick off on April 7, 2017, in New Orleans, with plans to traverse various cities across North America and beyond. This tour commemorated the 10th anniversary of their record-breaking “Soul2Soul II” tour, which remains one of the highest-grossing multi-year country music tours to date.
